Armstrong Furnaces

Home Comfort:

During milder weather, our two-stage furnace can reduce its output to more closely match your home’s comfort needs. On most days the furnace will run 75-80% of the time on low output, allowing the furnace to cycle less often and creating a more even and comfortable environment. When outdoor temperatures drop, your furnace will easily meet the demand, by running at a full 100% capacity, keeping your family warm and comfortable. Using continuous fan allows even temperatures throughout the home while continuously filtering the air.

Reliability:

The System Sentry™ control system helps assure safe, reliable and efficient operation by constantly monitoring and controlling the furnace. Should trouble occur, the System Sentry™ control system will provide service codes to a contractor to help quickly and accurately diagnose the problem. The time-tested stainless steel heat exchanger with a limited lifetime warranty* will provide years of reliable, trouble-free service.

Quiet Operation:

The cabinet is fully insulated, enhancing efficiency and assuring quiet operation during all seasons. A variable speed motor provides quiet, gradual blower start up and shut down. During “Fan On” operation, the variable speed blower reduces output by 50% for quiet, comfortable air movement.

Armstrong Air Conditioners

Reliability:

Quality components provide worry-free reliability. You can count on Armstrong Air air conditioners and heat pumps for years of dependable comfort. The two-stage compressor raises the level of comfort, and lowers utility bills. Its revolutionary two-step design allows the compressor to operate at low speed most of the time for quieter, more consistent comfort and better humidity control.

Quiet Operation:

A blanket of insulation lets you relax in quiet comfort. Units are designed to provide maximum comfort while keeping sound at a minimum. A heavy-duty insulation blanket surrounding the compressor and a wire fan guard significantly reduce operating sound. Heat pumps use a discharge muffler, along with QuietShift™ technology during the defrost cycle, to control sound.

Energy Efficiency:

Conserves energy and protects the environment. Armstrong Air air conditioners and heat pumps exceed Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency and savings. With an efficiency rating of up to 18 SEER, these units can reduce your energy costs, compared to older, less efficient equipment. UltraTech Scroll compressor uses R410a refrigerant, which meets government standards for non-ozone-depleting appliances.

Indoor air quality

Having a good Indoor Air Quality program in place is becoming more and more a necessity in modern times simply because of new construction methods employed to construct buildings. Buildings, including residences, are tighter in construction thereby decreasing infiltration and exfiltration. Even with mechanical codes which require so many changes of air per hour, depending on the building and its use and occupancy, building managers need to implement indoor air quality programs to prevent health issues among the occupants of their buildings. Good health not only helps people feel better but also makes them more productive.

Whole house vacuum systems

A Honeywell Central Vacuum System features high powered air watt motors and Triumph® HEPA Filtration. It utilizes a closed system design to collect and remove 100% of contacted pollutants and allergens, such as dirt, dust, pollen, mites, animal dander and debris from the living area, unlike conventional vacuum cleaners.

Honeywell Central Vacuum Systems have a complete line to clean homes of all types and sizes. Honeywell Cleaning Sets and Accessories clean hard to reach places and surfaces.

A Honeywell Central Vacuum System can be installed in virtually any home. Each strategically placed inlet lets you vacuum 700 - 800 square feet.

All Honeywell power units feature steel construction for superior strength. They feature AirWatts motors that deliver up to five times more cleaning power than a conventional vacuum to capture more dust, dirt and allergens in the home. Each unit includes a permanent, self-cleaning filtration system, assuring that dust, dirt and allergens cannot re-circulate in the living area. The filter's thin membrane can trap particles as fine as smoke and sheds them into the unit's dirt receptacle when the power unit is turned off.

Radiant in-floor heating systems

Underfloor heating and cooling is a form of central heating and cooling which utilizes heat conduction and radiant heat or cold for indoor climate control, rather than forced air heating which relies on convection. Heat can be provided by circulating heated water or by electric cable, mesh, or film heaters.

Underfloor heating can be used with concrete and wooden floors, with all types of floor covering (e.g., stone, tile, wood, vinyl, and carpet), and at ground level or upstairs. Choice of floor finishing requires careful consideration, because changes of floor finish may affect performance.

The benefits and comfort of a radiant floor heating system are endless—creating an energy saving and healthier home for you and your family for years to come. In-floor heating systems heat every room in your home evenly with heating coils that are placed under the floor before installation.

The water in a radiant system has a capacity to transport energy 3,500 times greater than air, so it can heat (and even cool) using less energy than a forced-air system. This amounts to greater comfort at a lower thermostat setting, which provides lower energy bills. In fact, more people are comfortable with radiant floor heating at a lower thermostat setting than with forced-air heating at a higher thermostat setting.

Additionally, a radiant heating system works in zones, allowing different areas of a home to heat at different temperatures. This allows typically chilly rooms, such as bathrooms, basements and entryways, to receive more heat when needed. At the same time, rooms with less traffic, such as a den or formal dining room, can be set to a lower thermostat setting, making the system even more energy-efficient.

Hot water boilers

A residential hot water boiler is used to heat water for a hydronic heating system. A hydronic heating system maintains comfort in your home with hot water circulating to every room. The system basically consists of a boiler, pump and baseboards connected by water piping. The boiler heats water to temperatures between 120º and 210º, and the water is then pumped through the piping in the baseboards located around the outer perimeter of the home for a curtain of warmth, or in the floor in radiant systems.

Whether you heat by baseboard, panel radiators, hydro-air systems or radiant flooring, Buderus Intelligent Heating Systems™ maintain a constant temperature in your home, eliminating the wide temperature swings of conventional heating systems.

The Buderus Logamatic Control uses advanced microprocessor technology to monitor inputs from indoor and outdoor sensors, compensate for the weather, and ensure consistent room temperatures. Unlike conventional systems, the Logamatic control adjusts water temperatures to maintain a desired comfort level, eliminating chills and overheating.

Improved Comfort and Fuel Economy

With the ability to “look ahead” and optimize water temperatures, Buderus heating systems provide more consistent, more comfortable heat using far less fuel than conventional high-temperature systems. In fact, Buderus heating systems typically pay for themselves in fuel savings in less than 5 years.

Ductless mini-split A/C's

Mini splits can be effectively used in both residential and commercial buildings. They are currently most commonly used in multi-family housing or retrofit as add-ons to homes with "non-ducted" heating systems. They can also be a good choice for room additions and small apartments, where installing ductwork (for a central air-conditioner or heating systems) is not feasible or practical. Other opportunities for effective use include school classrooms, perimeter cooling for office buildings, additional cooling for office buildings, additional cooling for restaurant kitchens and cooling for small offices. They can also effectively cool smaller areas within larger spaces, such as arenas, warehouses or auditoriums.

Popular for many years in Europe and Asia, ductless mini split air conditioners and heat pumps are fast becoming just as popular in the United States, too. The system is composed of three main components: an outdoor unit, an indoor mounted evaporator unit, and a wireless remote controller. The outdoor and indoor units are connected via small refrigerant lines that run through a three inch opening in the wall or ceiling. Our ductless mini split systems deliver the unmatched comfort of a traditional split system to specific individual spaces in your home. Whether you're creating a quiet, comfort-controlled home theater room, or simply want to heat or cool an area in your home without ducts, the wide variety of ductless mini splits give you the efficiency, aesthetics and comfort of a traditional central split system.
